Its a shame to see it all come to an end... we wish Lee all the best with his move to Perth. NIce to see the DeCarlow boys play again after about six months! And you all know how much we love Grand Fatal here at band photos rock... and the new songs are sounding shit hot!

As most of you are aware, bandphotosrock.com is a non-profit organization (understatement really... we run at quite a loss). We provide photos for aussie bands to use for free, because we understand that the majority of them can't afford expensive photographers.

.... however we do have a few requests. We are happy for our photos to be used unaltered (i.e with bandphotosrock.com still on them) on websites and myspace. If we provide your band with a disc of unbranded, high res photos, we would like to be credited if these pics are used on websites. If you intend on using the photos for something significant where you will profit financially (i.e. cds, tshirts, banners, zines, flyers etc), please ask us first. We do not expect any financial compensation (although we do appreciate freebies!!), but please show us some respect and courtesy by asking us first... it only takes an email. This is by no means directed at everyone, but unfortunately we have had a few incidences lately that have made this comment necessary... its shit like this that will ruin it for everyone else.

Faux Defeated, Left Hand Cuts The Right and Stand Defiant 8-10-05
So we finally made it to a Faux Defeated show - its been a long time coming, and damn we wish it had of happened sooner!  Can't wait to hear the new EP (coming out on Pee Records soon!).  It will be launched at the Arty on the 22nd of Oct.  LHCTR... gotta love their raw sound!  Make sure you check them out if you haven't already!  Stand Defiant are the first band from Tassie to appear on our site, and now that I think of it, probably the first Tassie band I've seen?  Keep bringing your stuff across the Bass Strait!  Big shout out to Luke for putting on a top show, even with all the dramas!

We've only had this site up and running for about 3 months, and already we've had 5000 visitors.  Big thanks to everyone that checks out the photos and to all the bands who appear on the site - it wouldn't be anything without you!
